Frequently asked questions
How do I get my child involved?
We truly adore the kids we work with, but we are actual working photographers (not an agency) who make a living from our photography. Most (ie 95%) of the kids on our site and social media pages are actual clients who book sessions with us. For booking info visit the contact page here (serious inquiries only please).
Where can I find pricing for your child shoots?
We offer headshot/portfolio sessions starting at $695 and full custom creative/AfroArt sessions starting at $1495. Our travel mini sessions are $1095. Please contact us to receive more information about package details.
Do you ever have model calls? How can my child model for you?
We rarely take on models from unless we are in need of something particular for a client or for a personal shoot. To be honest, it’s a bit like playing the lotto – the chances of getting a free shoot with us are slim, but you are welcome to add your child to our model database here to be considered for the future.
I am not located in the Atlanta area - how can I participate?
Our current travel dates are listed on our travel page. Our 2019 travel dates have passed so we are only shooting in the Atlanta area for the remaining part of the year. We will announce 2020 travel dates in January. Most locations sell out solely from our waiting list (before we can even post on social media), so make sure you are on the waiting list for your area if you are interested in doing a session with us in your area waiting list. Full/custom and family sessions are available in the Atlanta area year round.
Do you offer sibling discounts?
Siblings can be added for 50% off of the session price for the additional session. If you have more than 3 kids, contact us for a custom quote.
Who styles the children in your photographs? Is styling/hair/makeup included?
Our AfroArt/creative sessions are styled by us. All sessions with us include hair/light makeup. We will generally guide you on the clothing to bring and style the child on set for custom sessions. For creative travel sessions, clothing is included so all you’ll need to do is show up.
What's the difference between your travel sessions and custom sessions?
My city is not listed, can you come to my area?
Our photo sessions require a good amount of planning and coordination, so if you are interested in having us do child sessions in your area we typically require at least 7 booked sessions to make it worth the trip (travel child sessions are $895ea/USA only). Many of our clients will gather up a few family/friends who are interested in booking in a location that’s not on our travel list. International travel will be considered on a case by case basis and will be quoted separately. Contact us here if you are interested in having us come to an area not listed.
Do you photograph adults/toddlers?
Unfortunately no. We currently work with kids ages 4-18, families and brands. We do NOT photograph babies/toddlers, adult models, weddings, events, etc. No exceptions.
How can I purchase prints/calendars?

Do you only photography African-American/afro hair kids?
Although our brand focuses on empowerment for African-American kids, our doors are open to anyone interested in having us photograph their child. We are creativesouls (pun intended) at heart, so I’m sure we will come up with something fabulous. <3
